All about the Ethical Enterprise Award

What is Moral Fairground?

Established in 2009, Moral Fairground works to bring awareness to fair trade throughout Australia. In the time since this organisation has been around, it's been behind a number of events that have spread excitement about fair trade and conscious consuming. The team at Moral Fairground is beyond passionate, constantly working to think of new ways to engage people and teach and inspire about fair trade and ethical business practices.

What is the Ethical Enterprise Award?

This award looks at the most ethical enterprises throughout Australia. Those selected are inspirational businesses which are making a significant social and economic impact, whether that's locally or overseas. These businesses are those that are unafraid to think outside the box and use innovative methods.

Last year was the first the award was established, and a whole host of wonderful applicants were quickly in the running. The winner was the Western Desert Naganampa Walytja Aboriginal Corporation. This non-profit organisation works tirelessly to provide remote communities with basic and necessary health care and social services.

How does PrintTogether fit in?

PrintTogether has worked together with Moral Fairground to print the Ethical Enterprise postcards. These recycled postcards are bold and bright, with speech bubbles dotted over the card in lime green, purple, blue, yellow and red. The design encompasses qualities of the award and the people behind it - they're passionate, spunky, down to earth and focused on their goal of spreading the word and recognising those who are making the effort.

The postcards call for applicants to put their name forward for the award, while also highlighting ethical business practices and the work of Moral Fairground.

Keeping in line with sustainability and ethical principles, the postcards were printed with eco-friendly materials. The paper used was 100 per cent post-consumer recycled, 350gsm EcoStar, which is pristine and pearly white, along with vegetable based inks.

Applications for the 2014 Ethical Enterprise Award close 5pm 30th September. The winner will be announced on the 19th November. To apply visit: www.moralfairground.com.au
