Fire Tree: Bringing cultural awareness to the people

Fire Tree consulting working hard

Fire Tree's specialty is cultural awareness through training. Based in Brisbane and Darwin, it offers indigenous marketing and communications services.

Kristal Chapman is at the helm of the company as the director. She says, "I love culture, I love learning about culture and I love teaching culture. I believe cultural awareness training is the key to reconciliation and better outcomes for Aboriginal Australians."

Cultural awareness, through courses such as the ones offered by Fire Tree, helps indigenous people receive more employment opportunities and a better working environment. Cultural communications can be achieved through Cultural Capability Frameworks and marketing campaigns.

Primarily, the company focuses on closing the gap strategies and making the outcomes for indigenous people that much better.

The areas of expertise of the company are extensive. The team has a lot of knowledge about industry sectors, infrastructure, energy (LNG), the world of health, corporate, government, not for profit organisations and, of course, cultural heritage.

This knowledge has helped a number of clients, including arguably some of the top organisations in the country. These include Mission Australia, Royal Flying Doctors Service and Griffith University.

Fire Tree is proud to be 100 per cent indigenous owned and operated and a Supply Nation Certified Business. This means the company is certified indigenous.

Graphic design for small business logos is crucial. The logo of your company says a lot about it - it's essentially a first impression and an embodiment of your brand.

Fire Tree has teamed up with PrintTogether to revamp the logo. Originally, it was simply computer generated, and while it did the job it was static and clunky.  The new logo uses the same elements but looks more organic and natural, in line with the principles of the company.

There are three circles the colours of fire, red, orange and yellow. These circles are connected by a brown tree trunk and at the base is the words, Fire Tree, in fluid, cursive script, and consulting, in small block letters.
