You're invited to Jeremy Blincoe's latest exhibition

As much as we'd love to claim contemporary fine art photographer Jeremy Blincoe as a true blue Aussie icon, unfortunately he's the next best thing - a Kiwi. Born in New Zealand and educated at Wellington's Massey University, Jeremy finally decided to bring his creative talent to our shores. And what an asset he is.

Jeremy's work focuses on youth and stunning landscapes, with a view of allowing his audience to form their own stories and ideas around the work he produces. Some of that work is being exhibited as we speak at Melbourne's Seventh Gallery. Chimera of Control is a solo exhibition that runs from 12 November through to 29 November, presenting light boxes depicting dramatic and unusual settings. These boxes are layered with meaning, dealing largely with consumption and the rapid exploitation of natural resources.

Sound familiar? The issue of consumption and environmental plundering is close to our heart, too, hence our company's eco-friendly practices and messages. It makes sense then that we printed Jeremy's exhibition invitation on EcoStar recycled paper, with a digital print for good measure. The resulting invitation is slick, minimal and clean in design, with black text centred in the middle of the square card. It's striking, featuring an image from Jeremy's collection, and we're proud to support the environmentally friendly message of his show. 

According to the write up for Jeremy's exhibition, his work aims to shed a light on the growing demand for material goods that accompanies society's massive population growth. While people get more concerned with wealth, status and power, our natural surroundings suffer in our quest to have more and more. 

Much of Jeremy's previous work has had an environmental focus, featuring stark landscapes accented by lone figures. He's certainly one to watch, and there's still time for you to catch his latest work up close.
